LEGAL EXPERIENCE
Prior to joining Advantage, Gearhart acquired the following legal practice
experience:
Corporate transactional, securities and employment law experience with the
largest law firm in Indianapolis
Developed tax reduction strategies for a national consulting firm advising
small and medium size businesses
Litigation experience representing corporations in lawsuits in state and
federal courts
INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE
Prior to practicing law, Gearhart held the following accounting & finance
positions:
Chief financial officer for one of the nation's largest product development
consulting firms providing market research, industrial design, engineering
and prototyping services to a client base including both Fortune 500 firms and
entrepreneurial start-ups
Chief financial officer for a start-up company that acquired a chassis division
of General Motors and merged it with an existing business
Manager of corporate accounting for a national group of specialty hospitals,
clinics, pharmaceutical distributors and physician practice management
companies
CPA with accounting, auditing and income tax experience at a national
accounting firm
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
Gearhart has taught courses in accounting, finance and law as an instructor
in the graduate programs at the University of Phoenix and the Lake Forest
Graduate School of Management
